Islands in the Bay | 24" x 30" | Textile Art
There are so many islands dotting the shores of all of the Great Lakes in Ontario. Georgian Bay alone has 30,000 which represent the world's largest freshwater archipelago. Part of the Canadian Shield, the islands are thought to be the eroded roots of an ancient mountain range called the Grenville Mountains.
The foundation and background of this piece is dotted material. It was the starting point and inspiration for this piece.
This piece is framed with a custom-made solid cherry frame included in the price.
